ΠΡΟΔΡΟΜΟΣ ΓΙΑΝΝΑΣ
Ο Πρόδρομος Γιαννάς είναι Καθηγητής Διεθνών και Ευρωπαϊκών Σχέσεων στο Τμήμα Διοίκησης Επιχειρήσεων του ΑΕΙ Πειραιά Τεχνολογικού Τομέα. Έλαβε το βασικό πτυχίο B.A. στα Οικονομικά από το College of Wooster το 1981, μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο σπουδών (Μ.Α.) στις Πολιτικές Επιστήμες από το Miami University το 1982 και διδακτορικό δίπλωμα στις Διεθνείς Σχέσεις από το American University το 1989. Έχει διδάξει στο American University, το Mount Vernon College, το Οικονομικό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών, τη Ναυτική Σχολή Πολέμου και στο ΤΕΙ Δυτικής Μακεδονίας.
Τα ερευνητικά ενδιαφέροντα του κ. Γιαννά επεκτείνονται σε τρία επιστημονικά πεδία: τις Διεθνείς Σχέσεις, τις Δημόσιες Σχέσεις και την Πολιτική Επικοινωνία. Το ερευνητικό του έργο περιλαμβάνει δημοσιεύσεις σε επιστημονικά περιοδικά όπως Journal of Modern Greek Studies, Hellenic Review of International Relations, Mediterranean Quarterly, CEU Political Science Journal, Public Relations Review, Journal of Political Marketing, Journal of E-Government, Ζητήματα Επικοινωνίας, Διεθνές Δίκαιο και Διεθνής Πολιτική, Αγορά Χωρίς Σύνορα καθώς και συνεισφορές σε συλλογικούς τόμους και βιβλία στα ελληνικά και αγγλικά. Ο κ. Γιαννάς είναι μέλος της Συντακτικής Επιτροπής στα επιστημονικά περιοδικά Journal of Political Marketing και International Journal of E-Government Research. Το 2007 η Ευρωπαϊκή Εταιρεία Διευθυντών Επικοινωνίας τον ανέδειξε ως ένα από τους κορυφαίους ευρωπαίους επιστήμονες στο χώρο της επικοινωνίας.
Prodromos Yannas is Professor of International and European Relations at the Department of Business Administration of the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences (former TEI of Piraeus). He holds a B.A. from the College of Wooster (1981), a M.A. from Miami University (1982) and a Ph.D. from The School of International Service, The American University (1989). He has taught at The American University and Mount Vernon College in the United States and the Hellenic Naval War College, the Athens University of Economics and Business, and the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Western Macedonia- Kastoria Campus in Greece. He is member of the editorial boards of the “Journal of Political Marketing” and of the “International Journal of Electronic Government Research”. His research and publications focus on foreign policy process, political and organizational communication and public relations. In 2007 he was named by the European Association of Communication Directors as one of the “Leading Communications Intellectuals of Europe”. In 2008, he was invited by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Cyprus to assess, as a member of an external evaluation committee, academic programs in Public Relations. Since June 2014, he is a member of the Board of the Hellenic Quality Assurance and Accreditation Agency.
